It is difficult for anyone to understand the undertakings of Almighty God from a natural human perspective. God is the creator, and not the creature. We have to understand him through the perspective of being that One Almighty Spirit, who is Holy. It is the holiness that demands certain things.
According to the spirit realm in which God dwells in holiness, man’s sin separates him from a positive relationship with God. Beyond the veil, sin can only be settled by the death of “something”, because “without blood there is no remission of sin”. Therefore in the beginning, God’s people were given various methods of sacrificing, so that the blood that would be shed would not be their own. Remember we are talking about a Spirit that dwells in true holiness, not our next door neighbor. We are also talking about man dwelling in the presence of God.
Many balk that a loving God would send His own Son to die in order to accomplish a relationship for His benefit between Himself and man. Here is the secret that many miss.
2Corinthians 5:19 To wit, that GOD WAS IN CHRIST, reconciling the world unto HIMSELF, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
Jesus Christ is the enrobement of that one Holy and Almighty God with flesh. In other words, Jesus was YHVH, Jehovah-Elohim, that seemingly distant Spirit of God on a throne entering into the realm of mankind, with the ability to feel the sin issue in mind and body.
What was needed is a sinless sacrifice, and that blood to restore the relationship that Adam lost in the garden. It should have been Adam’s, it should have been mankind blood, that should pay for our own sins; but it was God Himself who made this payment, this is the rational of Emmanuel-“God with us” Mat 1:23. This is the act of passion from a perfect God to a sinful man. He paid the penalty Himself, and gave His own blood,
to bring mankind back to Him. In this way the Endemic relationship of holiness between God and man was restored.
There is no need of anything, to bring together sin to sin, as is found in all, but in order to bridge the gap between the holy and the unholy, there had to be the sacrifice of an “unblemished lamb”. God in flesh; Jesus Christ was that sacrifice.
It is a spiritual thing that takes a peek into spirit realm to understand. You can see the love reflected in such a great sacrifice. He did suffer tremendously, but it was because He wanted his “love” back and would not settle for the lost relationship; but desired with all His “heart” to “restore the “marriage”. It was worth that much to Him the ancient YHVH of the Spirit realm who created the world.
It was not the Spirit of God sending someone else to do His dirty work; but it was God himself. His flesh was worth little to Him compared to rescuing man from their sins and punishment of hell. This is what He created His own flesh for, to bring back the love relationship between man and God “beyond the veil”, now ours in the spirit. In Old Testament times only the High priest could go beyond the veil of the temple, into the holiest of holies. Now because of His sacrifice, all mankind have the option to go in and fully know Jesus.
Mat 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, GOD WITH US. God was in Christ
