Recently a mother tried to kill her son stating that the child had demons.  Though it was the demons that she sought to rid him of, her efforts were directed against the child.  In the past other mothers have tried to eliminate thier own children, because of depression, but this is the first time that I know of that it was stated that the mother wanted to rid her child of demons.  It seems that it was the child that suffered for this idea.  

Though this woman was described as being very “religious”, her actions toward her child did not follow the Leader of the Christanity that she was supposed to be following.  In scripture, it is stated that there were many demon possess people in Jesus Christ times as He walked the earth.  It was never inferred that Jesus tried to kill anyone.  The Christian religion’s foundation is love and loving.  Jesus often healed everyone that was brought to him.  He never used violence to relive a sufferer of thier maladies, but instead called out the demon spirits or sickness by the sound of His voice.

Just in case anyone thinks someone they know has demons don’t try to kill them.  This will not be helping them at all.  If you are a follower of Christ, do as Jesus would do, and cast them out by the word of your mouth, or find someone who can.
