Jesus Came Into The World To Save Sinners.

The Scripture tells us that Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners of which we all are.  However these words cannot express the true heart of  the savior  even as we watched the things he did.

We can see by things that he did as he walked this earth that his heart and mind were full of compassion for God’s image creature.  His works always spoke of salvation whether they were works toward God, our own conscious or each other.

One of the first things Jesus did was to be baptized by John the Baptist.  Thou the man Jesus Christ housed the Spirit of YHVH as the author of His actions, he allowed himself to be baptized by a mere man, who was also His cousin, John.  This baptism had a special purpose that Jesus exposed as John first refused to baptized the man-God.  Claiming that he was not worthy and that he needed to be baptized by John,  Jesus explained to John:And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfill all righteousness. Then he suffered him.Matthew 3:15

Though Jesus said this was to fulfill righteousness, many try to convince others that there is no need for baptism which is an express part of the door to heaven, noted in Acts 2:38.  Contrary to the opinion of the so called wise, it was Jesus Christ who commanded his Apostles to baptize in the name to bring upon themselves the sacrifice of the cross of Calvary.

Water has been used as an important part of saving God’s people.  In the sense of Noah and His family who were saved from the flood, they were saved by an arc floating over the water so that they were not harmed.

2Peter 2:5  And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;

1Peter 3:20  Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.

1Peter 3:21  The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:

Moses took the people of Israel through the Reed sea (Some translate it as the Red Sea.)  in order to save them from the enemy who was Pharaoh’s Army.    As He saved in the Old Testament, so he saves in the new.  Yet the new testament was set as one of spiritual salvation or the freedom of the spirit man unto salvation of the one who eternally lives within our flesh.  The works of Jesus Christ opened the eyes and understanding of the man of the spirit and brought it to life.  This being a work to the spirits of man by the Spirit of God, we see that this is not a kingdom on the natural, but the spiritual in which the scripture says there is neither Jew nor Greek, male nor female, but the sons and daughters would proclaim godliness to mankind.

The plan of God was so simple.  Love God, love your neighbor, and even, Jesus said, love your enemy.

Luke 10:27  And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.

Throughout the gospels, Jesus spoke to how men were to treat one another.  Don’t call your brother a fool, or otherwise names that would hurt them.  Even the Apostle Paul talked of just eating things that would  offend your brother for whom Christ died, he said.

Blessed are the peace makers, Jesus said, not those that cause strife and quarrels.  The old testaments say make no league with an angry man and that it would be better to dwell on a house top instead of with a brawling wife.

Meekness was a character that would bring blessing, for this is when we do not have to show our strength against one another, though we have it.  We can be kind instead and for this inherit gifts from the LORD.

We notice that even in the Old Testament the ten commandments spoke first of our love for God and then from commandment five (5) on, were concerning the others.  All of the rest of the commandments speak of how to treat others from Parents to honor to neighbors.  Jesus just summed it up in LOVE.  That we don’t covet the things of others, that we don’t steal or kill, that we treat others the way that we want to be treated, these thing show love for our fellow man.

Even children were the concern of our LORD Jesus.  We are strictly commanded not to offend little ones, and allow little ones to come to him.  We are also cautioned to have the faith of a child, and not just children, but those that we feel are unimportant.  Their angels, the scriptures say are always beholding the face of God, or as angels do, bring messages to the LORD, could be that their situations are upheld by angels who firmly have God’s attention.  The result of hurting children can result  in a fate worse than being drowned on a weight into the bottom of an ocean.

Jesus called for things that would encourage us in our ways, and encourage others.  He called us to be examples of mercy and love.  Most things that he spoke of would admonish or warn us to stay on a straight path and help us see the will of God more clearly as we attempt to travel the kingdom of God.

In every way he was an example of the key to the door of heaven.  In fact, He is the door.  He is the way the truth and the life.  He helps us make straight paths for our feet that lead to heaven, the greatest victory of all.

He showed selflessness ways and honor  to God over the desires of the flesh.  Matthew 4 tells the story of his forty day fasting, and how satan tempted Him with the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and pride of this life.  Finally Jesus banished the enemy with His knowledge of the Word of God and enhanced power of prayer and fasting.  He showed in this that we must along with faith have the knowledge of the Word of God in order to use this knowledge against the wiles of the devil.

He easily resisted the devil after a strong time of prayer and fasting.

Jesus came as a true hero of the race to heaven as well as the true sacrifice that opened the door.  That door opens in the name of the God-man who came to save sinners.
