Besides love, for a marriage relationship to thrive, there must be good communication. There must also be apologies and forgiveness for what is sometimes communicated. There needs to be softness and compassion, with the marriage partner seeking to understand the quirkiness of the “love of their Life”.

Marriages are built on love and forgiveness. Without it, differences build up into bitterness between the spouses. Constant resentment and anger can grow pitting couples against each other. It could be said, that in a marriage, those who are becoming one as the Bible says should stand on both sides of a line. Something like you and me against the world, or any for that seeks to tear it apart, though it be our own attitudes. Bitterness does not build, it tears down unions even between us and the LORD. The bitterness for one relationship to another often brings down future relationships. So remember to forgive, it makes everything last longer.

We must seek to learn from each other, and appreciate the differences not be offended by them.
