Most people have their own judgment as to who the LORD is, and His personality. This is where we get the questions concerning, WHY WOULD A LOVING GOD, and so on.
Yes, the LORD is a G
od of love, but He is a God of Holiness before He was anything, and He is sovereign in His dealings. YES THE LORD KNOWS ALL THINGS PAST PRESENT AND FUTURE! When he created the heavenly Host, just as when He created mankind He created all with a will and choice, much like Himself. He is not interested in Robots that have been programmed to do only exactly as He says by force.
The LORD is interested in those who will choose to serve Him, as it is said, Whosoever will. So, He created satan and gave him a great post in heaven. The fall of satan which continued from heaven into the garden of Eden and until now, and after the millennium is one that will be an example to mankind, as well as a warning.
Satan’s usurping of authority in heaven and deceiving of the angels there, gives mankind an answer to the question of who God really is, and how to serve Him in truth. To this day, we can see that to usurp God’s authority and anyone that the LORD has placed in authority has dire consequences. Satan and his followers were not only cast out of heaven, but the original glory which they were accustomed to, was changed to that of darkness, evil and the opposite of a sweet smelling savor to God, to one that is foul. We can know that the things that the “prince of the power of the air” does, are always destructive and heart wrenching, as in the Book of Job. He is the king of lies, deceit, thievery and death.
These are opposed to our God who is the One who dwells in the light and makes all things
God is Omniscience, Didn’t He Know?
beautiful in His time. God is not looking for those who are trifling in their love and dedication, but those whose love is strong enough to go through the trials of life and be proven.
So this and all things in the Word of God teaches mankind to be the kind of man that God will choose as a “pearl of great price”, for whom, He, Himself was also willing to give all on Calvary’s cross.
