Mathew 24:12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
In a hearsay argument, a person was accused of calling someone a whore. Though the crime was not one to which the person was guilty, what is truly important here.
Yes, we should watch our tongue for judging something to which we might ourselves be guilty, but the most important thing is, is this a time when perhaps the Spirit is calling someone to repentance because word meanings often remain the same, and as the song goes, “The ordinary things apply as time goes by”.
In other words this sin of sleeping around or sex outside of marriage remains exactly that, a sin. No matter who said it, or did not hold to the truth of the matter, and is it still true that we shall be judged if we do not repent.
Because judgment for a sin is not executed speedily men often continue in sin. But should the warning go heedless until it is too late and we are destroyed without remedy.
Are we abusing grace or walking on a tight rope hoping not to get caught when the scriptures tell us to allow the word to be a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. Will reading of God’s word clear up what He deems as missing the mark. Is this a time to repent or argue the meaning of words? Yes all things should be done in love, but just in case they are not, the major concern is if we need to repent, and did these harsh words bring us to a very real reality that God has not changed.
Do you know that because mankind changes the face of things that are acceptable does not change whether God accepts it? Neither does their desire to change the meaning of words make them acceptable before our Almighty LORD.
We did say LORD, didn’t we? If we called Him Lord, then should be surprised that his judgments should lord over our lives. Can we know His judgments without knowing His written word, the Bible. Shouldn’t we then study to show ourselves approved of God?
Young man, because you buy a meal, and Share Company does not give you the right to marital bliss, and young lady be strong, holy and learn to say NO! or at least stop thinking it is alight to try to temp the men with your garments, or lack thereof.
In God’s Word it is written what we should be.
