Revelation 12:3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. 12:4a And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth:
The verse says that the devil used his tail as it were to cast one third of the angels from their place in heaven. This suggest that his actions were not up front, but were done from behind, in the background or as if behind the LORD’s back. We all may have been guilty of such things at one time or another, not realizing how serious it can be. Erroneously thinking that because we are not seen by that person or persons, that there will be no retribution from God. We are acting with the “tail”, as satan did.
However nothing can be hidden from God. All things that are done in the dark shall be brought to the light the scripture says. Often they believe they are defeating someone in righteous indignation by working against them behind their back. Perhaps even thinking that God does see, or care. But the Bible says to go to the person that we feel wronged by, or that we have done wrong, and not hide it, if we truly want to solve the problem. It is not the will of God to sow discord in the body of Christ, or in families. There is a wrong and right way of doing things, according to word of God.
Often what one thinks about a person and their motives are not necessarily true. Seeking an answer from the LORD, and having a prayer partner and confident is the best first recourse. We could be “executing an innocent person” when taking matters into our own hands. Just as we do not want Jesus to take lightly the pain others inflict upon us, neither will He take lightly the pain that we inflict upon others self-righteously. Even if often we think we are helping by waging war against another in gossip and other actions we can end up on the other side of the chastening rod.
Ephesians 6:10-18King James Version (KJV) 10Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
We can’t let Satan cause us to lose our place in the LORD’s heaven because of what is being done behind someone’s back. Put on the whole Armor of God instead.
