Luke_14:21 So that servant came, and shewed his lord these things. Then the master of the house being angry said to his servant, Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor, and the maimed, and the halt, and the blind.

Many of the people who are reached out to, to come into the church are in poverty of mind. Their hearts have been maimed, and at some point have stopped thinking constructively and are blind to the true realities around them.

There are many in the church that are like this and need , as Scripture said, Luke_5:31 And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick.

It is the soul that Jesus speaks of, that needs a physician. Yet while hopefully in the process of being healed, these same people use the bitterness of their halt and maimed and even blind minds as the Pharisees did, to maim others by their jealousies and lack of fruitful constructive opinions. Though their responses are destructive at times, it is these same that need forgiveness, and that we must forgive for their errant ways.

Jesus came to save the lost, and be a physician to the sick of heart. We must too.
